Fireworks in Prato: New Year’s Eve Event

Every New Year’s Eve, and during the Feast of the Annunciation in mid-August, parties with music and fireworks are held in Prato.
Prato della Valle has long been dear to the people of Padua, who often call it simply “Il Prato“.
It is the largest square in Italy and one of the largest in Europe. Today the square is a large space with a green island, Memia Island, in the center, surrounded by a small canal surrounded by two rings of statues.
